Give Saglemi Houses to Gov’t Workers, Provide Buses To Transport Them To Work – Madam Akua Donkor

The Saglemi Housing Project, often referred to as the Saglemi Affordable Housing Project, is a public housing development in Prampram, Ghana’s Greater Accra Region, in the Ningo Prampram District. For the housing units that were going to be offered to employees, the Ghana Home Loans Company was supposed to provide mortgage arrangements.
Francis Asenso-Boakye, the minister for works and housing, claims that the government has already spent about 196 million dollars on the project and has no plans to use more tax dollars to fund its completion. He said the state would thus be leveraging its equity in the form of the land and assets on the project site to ensure the completion of the units by a private developer.
