Finally, the multiple calls on the government to terminate the contract of the Minister of State at the Finance Ministry, Charles Adu Boahen, have been answered, as an official statement released by the government of Ghana indicates that the first gentleman of the land, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo, has terminated Adu Boahen’s contract.
As stated in the press release, the main reason for the president terminating Adu Boahen’s contract is because he has been named to be in the scandal video yet to be released by undercover journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas tonight.
Prior to the release of the Galamsey video, Anas revealed on his Facebook page that Charles Adu Boahen, Minister of State in charge of Finance at the President’s Office, had revealed to Tiger Eye that the Vice President, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, needed only a USD200,000 token as an appearance fee and some positions by an investor for the Vice President’s siblings to get his backing and influence in establishing a business in Ghana.
However, Charles Adu Boahen will be handed over to the special prosecutor for investigations as soon as Akufo Addo wishes him farewell.
