Kurrency Boxing Management Signs Three Boxers from Bronx Gym in Ghana

The Kurrency Boxing Management made a significant move on May 1st, 2023 by signing three promising boxers from the Bronx Boxing Gym in James Town, Accra.
The lucky boxers are Daniel Quaye, popularly known as High Tension, Stephen Cofie, and Issifu Illiasu Sulley. Bright Aboagye, owner of Gold Mart, who is also the manager, signed the boxers at a colorful ceremony held at the Bronx Boxing Gym.
Mr. Aboagye expressed his enthusiasm for being in the limelight, as he has been involved in boxing for over a decade. He said he identified courage, resilience, discipline, and hunger in the young boxers, which are essential traits to produce world champions. Mr. Aboagye’s decision to become a boxing manager was motivated by his desire to help produce more champions.
The head coach of the Bronx Gym, Carl Lokko, invited Mr. Aboagye to the training camp, and he was impressed by the skills and potential of the young boxers. Coach Lokko stated that having a manager or support is crucial for any potential good boxer, as it encourages and motivates them to keep training and wait for the opportunity to realize their dreams.
The signing of the three boxers came at a time when the Bronx Gym products are winning Championship title belts. Daniel Gorsh retained his National Super Bantamweight Title, Joshua Tetteh Laryea became the new West African Super Welterweight Champion, and John Laryea the Expensive Boxer became a two-time WBO Africa Featherweight Champion.
Hon. Alfred Nii Ashie Kotey, the aspiring Member of Parliament for Odododiodoo, who witnessed the signing ceremony, advised the newly signed boxers to be disciplined and respect their coaches if they want to succeed in the game. He emphasized the importance of humility as one of the secrets to greatness, urging them to take their training seriously.
Spiritual leader Numo Klan, who was present at the occasion, thanked God for the lives of the boxers and prayed for their protection and guidance towards becoming champions.
