New York Square LLC Partners with Ghana Basketball Federation to Provide Standard Courts Nationwide

New York Square LLC, a private sports and entertainment development enterprise, has entered into a partnership with the Ghana Basketball Federation (GBBA) to provide ten standard courts across Ghana.
This initiative is aimed at promoting the growth of basketball in the country and supporting the youth to achieve their dreams.
As part of the partnership, New York Square LLC will provide the necessary infrastructure and technical assistance required to create a fully integrated national program. The project will commence in Tamale, in the Northern Region of Ghana, before being extended to other parts of the country.
According to the Chief Executive Officer of New York Square, Mr. Dan Isaacs, the group is committed to using sports to provide the necessary structure, support, guidance, and mentorship for Africa’s youth to reach their full potential and achieve their dreams. This partnership with the Ghana Basketball Federation is one of the ways to achieve this mission.
Mr. Ato Van-Ess, President of the Ghana Basketball Federation, welcomed the partnership with New York Square, stating that the Federation is committed to developing basketball in the country. He further noted that the partnership would give hope to the youth and contribute to socio-economic growth in the country.
In addition to promoting basketball, New York Square LLC has also pledged to provide boreholes to various communities in Ghana to aid in their access to water supply. This is part of the company’s efforts to advance socio-economic growth in Africa, with a focus on gender equality, education, healthcare, and infrastructure development.
Mr. Alex Kukula, Vice President of Finance and Administration for the Ghana Basketball Association and Director of Basketball Operations for New York Square, emphasized the impact that basketball can have on the lives of young people. He noted that a basketball in a kid’s hands might not necessarily translate into success in the game, but it might alter the trajectory of the kid’s life onto paths hitherto unknown.
For the most part, New York Square LLC’s participation in the development of basketball in Ghana will expand to include other sports such as tennis, baseball, and golf in the years to come. The company’s vision is to provide opportunities for millions of young girls and boys across Africa.
