Owusu Bempah slams Mahama’s presidency, says he was the worse in terms of job ceation

Former President John Dramani Mahama is seeking to make a comeback as the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the upcoming elections in Ghana. However, many Ghanaians are not convinced that he is the right person for the job. In fact, one Deputy Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ernest Owusu Bempah, has gone as far as to say that Mahama’s candidacy is a disaster waiting to happen.

Bempah argues that Mahama was an inadequate and embarrassing president when he held the position from 2012 to 2016. He accuses him of mismanaging the economy and breaking the presidential code. Bempah also believes that Mahama lacks the temperament, knowledge, steadiness, and honesty required of a president.

Moreover, Bempah accuses Mahama of stirring up bigotry and ethnic-based political sentiments, which have undermined Ghana’s democratic institutions and norms. He claims that Mahama has betrayed fundamental commitments made by all presidents since the dawn of the fourth Republic.

For the most part, Bempah’s arguments are based on the belief that Mahama’s first term in office was a disaster. He claims that Mahama’s policies were slogans and outcomes, and that his record of lying and incompetence makes him unfit to be president again. Bempah also argues that Mahama’s return to office would be even more disastrous than his first stint, and could split and possibly destroy the country.

In conclusion, Bempah’s arguments against Mahama’s candidacy are serious and should not be dismissed lightly. The people of Ghana need clarity, purpose, and competence, not incompetence and angry defiance. It is up to Ghanaians to decide whether or not Mahama is the right person to lead their country forward.
