Pictures: Philanthropist, Madam Cherry Brown Supports 150 Widows in Accra

The Chief Executive Officer of the one of the biggest pub and restaurant “Just Here Pub” has donated a package of rice, sardine, cooking oil, half piece of cloth and ghc 100.00 each for their transportation to 150 widows in Accra as a gift for the Christmas season to widows to make the Christmas memorable for them.
After the presentation, 37 widows came to the premises of just here pub to collect their presents, fortunately, Madam Gifty Cherry Brown was able to handle the said numbers.
The widows were full of joy as they expressed their appreciation to Madam Gifty Cherry Brown for the kind gesture and honour done them.
In a colourful event at Just Here Pub in Accra over 115 widows across the region were picked for such donation.
The items presented to them includes, Rice, sardine, cooking oil, half piece of cloth and ghc 100.00 each for their transportation.
Speaking at the presentation of the items, Madam Gifty Cherry Brown mentioned that the items were her way of helping to ease the plight of the widows.
This is to help make lives comfortable for these mothers who do not have anybody to support them she stated.
She noted with concern that most widows were depending solely on charity from relatives and friends, hence the donation.
She lamented that the widows were very vulnerable and needed to be assisted.
Madam Gifty Cherry Brown therefore, pledged to take the necessary steps to make life more meaningful for them.
Rev Bernard Mensah who witnessed the presentation said the help was timely as it would enable them to also enjoy Christmas and the new year as well.
He commended Madam Gifty Cherry Brown for the donation and also urged Ghanaians to emulate her and support people who are less privileged.
Widows who received the donation thanked Madam Cherry Brown profusely and prayed for her to succeed in her endeavours as a businesswoman.
