Rapper, DMX Passes On At Age 50 Following Severe Heart Attack
Award-winning rapper, actor and songwriter, Earl Simmons, popualry known as DMX has died at age 50 from heart attack.
DMX family confirmed the his death to the public
saying, DMX passed away peacefully with family present after suffering a catastrophic cardiac arrest.
“We are deeply saddened to announce today that our loved one, DMX, birth name of Earl Simmons, passed away at 50 years old at White Plains Hospital with his family by his side after being placed on life support for the past few days,” a statement from the family read.
The ‘It’s Dark and Hell is hot’ crooner died at age 50 at White Plains Hospital in New York on Friday, April 9.
According to the family, DMX was a warrior who fought till the very end.
He loved his family with all of his heart and they all cherished the times they spent with him.
The family further eulogised him as an artist whose music inspired countless fans across the world and that his iconic legacy will live on forever.
“We appreciate all of the love and support during this incredibly difficult time,” said the family.
“Please respect our privacy as we grieve the loss of our brother, father, uncle and the man the world knew as DMX,” it added.
The family also promised to share information about his memorial service once details were finalized.
