Week 4 NPFL: Hosts Kano Pillars Pick Maximum Points, Beat visiting Plateau United

Hosts Kano Pillars FC picked maximum points as they beat visiting Plateau United at home at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna on Wednesday in a Week 4 NIgeria Professional Football League (NPFL) match.

The only goal recorded was scored when the Penalty awarded to Kano Pillars in the 77th minute, was converted by number 10 player, Rabiu Ali to put the home team in the lead.

The first half had ended goalless after failed attempts by both teams.

 

Coach of Kano Pillars, Emmanuel Lionel Soccoia in an interview with newsmen after the match, said it was a good game and they now have eight points.

He said he was at peace and highly delighted that they won the game.

He described the penalty awarded as okay, after players of Plateau infringed on his player in the box, describing the officiating as fair.

In a separate interview, Plàteau United Coach, Abdullahi Maikaba said it was a good win for Pillars, congrautlating them for winning.

He however, blamed the second Assistant Referee for their loss, describing it as bad officiating.
