Dr.Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings who is the incumbent member of Parliament for the Klottey Korle constituency has once again been chosen by her party delegates to lead them for the 2024 general elections.
Her win comes after today’s presidential and parliamentary primaries conducted by the National Democratic Congress.
Per statistics, she obtained 1,194 votes out of a total of 1,831 delegates that voted and that represented 90% of the total votes.
Her other competitors; Meredith Naa Odarkai and Noi John Alfonso who came nowhere close, managed to pull 268 and 360 votes respectively.
It is worthy to note that, Dr. Zanetor is the daughter of the late president; J.J Rawlings and also a lawmaker representing her constituency on the ticket of the NDC. She holds several reputable positions in parliament as well.
She has represented her constituency for two consecutive tenures and currently serving on the Gender and Children Committee as well as the Environment, Science and Technology Committee of Parliament.
